HUD will host Multifamily FSS webinar September 10
Friday, September 06, 2019
The below message is a re-posting from HUD’s Office
of Multifamily Housing:
Dear Colleagues:
Please join the Multifamily Housing staff and HUD’s Technical
Assistance Providers on Wednesday, September 10, 2019 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00
p.m. for a brief interactive webinar to provide you valuable information on our
plans to promote the Multifamily Housing Family
Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program.
Beginning the week of September 9th, the Office of
Multifamily Housing will launch an FSS outreach campaign to strongly encourage
assisted housing owners and management agents to offer FSS Programs at their
family properties. As part of the campaign, we will offer hands-on
technical assistance (TA) over a nine-month period to support owners and agents
who express an interest in starting a program and receiving the TA. We
intend to publish a Request for Interest (RFI) on September 17th that contains
a brief application for owners and management agents to complete. The
application submission due date will be October 8, 2019.
We request your support for these efforts, and hope you will
join us in promoting the FSS Program to your members. As always, your
input and ideas are welcome to make this outreach effort a complete
success. A newsletter article is attached for your use to widely
communicate and seek support for the FSS Program.
Deputy Assistant Secretary Lamar Seats speaks in a short
video about the FSS Program. It will be posted very soon on our
Multifamily Housing FSS HUD
Exchange page, along with the RFI and many other helpful
resources.
