HUD Notice 2012-11: State Registered Lifetime Sex Offenders in Federally Assisted Housing

On June 11, 2012, HUD published notice H2012-11: State Registered Lifetime Sex Offenders in Federally Assisted Housing. This notice supersedes the previous sex offender notice H 2009-11.
Owner/Agents are strongly encouraged to read and understand this notice to ensure applicant screening is conducted in a manner compliant with the guidance set forth in this notice.
This notice provides further suggested procedures to help ensure a safe living environment. Owner/Agents are encouraged to adopt this suggested guidance.
