HUD has awarded nearly $18 million in funding and loan commitments under the Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP), which aims to provide funding for direct loans and grants to fund projects that improve energy or water efficiency, enhance indoor air quality or sustainability, implement the use of zero-emission electricity generation, low-emission building materials or processes, energy storage, or building  electrification strategies, or address climate resilience, of eligible HUD-assisted multifamily properties.

This is the first round of GRRP awards to be released, with additional rounds to be awarded throughout 2023 and 2024. You are encouraged to read HUD’s Press Release.
